Christmas is always associated with closeness, family gatherings and tradition. Speaking of tradition… it’s worth continuing! It brings broad and genuine smiles to many faces. NIVEA’s winter campaign „Nourish closeness at Christmas” was all about bringing people together and evoking good emotions.
Challenge
How, in the post-digital era, convince people to send traditional holiday cards? By combining off-line with on-line solutions and creating an opportunity to bring back the magic! Receiving a card from our loved ones is truly magical, as it helps to express caring and affection. This is our solution to evoke good emotions and support close relationships.
Our approach
Our website featured an intuitive card creator. It allowed every user to insert their picture in a prepared layout, add short wishes, edit with filters and embellish the card with Christmas stickers. All cards were sent the traditional way – to postal addresses provided by users – so both senders and recipients shared the joy of coming together and nourishing their relationship. All users who still preferred the on-line solutions could use our option of sending digital cards through social media or via e-mail.
