Cherry filling, cocoa, au lait or advocate covered in delicious Wedel’s chocolate. My oh, my! Baryłki Klasyczne by Wedel certainly have “something” in them. And it makes Poles love them since the beginning of times. We decided to dig deeper into the matter, and we weren’t scared to bend time and space so that you can enjoy the taste longer.
The one and only Baryłki
Baryłki are one of a kind, unique product in category. Due to its distinctive shape resembling a barrel, delicious chocolate coat and just perfect, rich filling this sweet treat has a lot of true fans. Barrels are part of polish tradition as they are a go to gift for birthday, holidays or meetings with friends. But what if they were a gift from you to… you? Without any special occasion. Just to celebrate a “me moment” after a long day of housework or work.
And that was the starting point of our campaign. We reminded Poles that they deserve a moment to unwind and relax. More now than ever they earned their treat. And that’s where Baryłki come! They are a perfect product to indulge in the moment. To feel every second of pleasure with all senses. But how to showcase that feeling? We went for modern, but classy form not forgetting about the tradition and finding room for product’s roots and 170 years of brand history. All that in a tasty barrel 😉
Enjoy slooowly
To truly taste Baryłki by Wedel, you need to spare a moment. Don’t rush, dig into it allowing the sweetness of the chocolate to do its magic and for the filling to melt your senses. Because real pleasure should last longer.
To show the meaning of “Baryłki moment” we created audiovisual materials that focused on the essence of our message – slowing down and elongating in time and space the pleasure of the moment.
We got our materials in two versions: with male and female actors. Calmy, with a lot of class, they enjoy the moment stretching it further and further. And all that with feasts of tastes, colors and creative graphic effects.
In this campaign we showcased Baryłki Klasyczne, the brand hero SKU, which are almost a national treasure. They were present in all formats: KV and spots (both 15s. And 6s.). We also took advantage of FOOH (Fake Out of Home), cutting edge technology. A billboard that comes to life located in Biedronka chain of stores was surely a surprise for many fans of Wedel in social media.
It’s worth mentioning that apart from creating the idea we were in charge of production, editing and music composed for the spots by RAU. The aim of our campaign was to make the recipients realize that chocolate barrels are perfect for any occasion, and it is worth reaching for them any time. In that matter, it worked quicker than sloooower.
