The “Ice Challenge” campaign was conceived as a cinematic and television spectacle. But one key question remained: how could we translate the monumental scale, the raw beauty of Lapland, and the emotional intensity of our film into the online world? We needed a space that would do more than simply explain the campaign. It had to immerse users in its universe and let them experience this extraordinary project on their own terms.
The Concept: A Gateway to Another World – and an Immersive Journey into the Heart of the Ice Challenge
Instead of creating a standard campaign recap, we built an immersive portal that allowed users to quite literally step into the world of the project. Our idea was for the landing page, https://skoda4x4.pl/, to become an interactive travel documentary — guiding visitors, step by step, into the atmosphere of the “Ice Challenge”.
The website was designed as an almost cinematic experience in the browser, with a narrative built around layered storytelling. Each element gradually revealed more of the journey, sparking curiosity and imagination while letting users feel what our protagonists had experienced.
The Narrative Elements
First, we focused on atmosphere and place. The story begins by introducing users to the raw yet breathtaking world of Finnish Lapland — the land of a thousand lakes. We speak of the scale of the challenge, the thickness of the ice, the biting cold, and the truly exceptional location of Inari/Ivalo, building tension, credibility, and a strong sense of place.
Second, the protagonists. We gradually revealed the people behind the project, presenting Mikołaj Marczyk and Łukasz Zakrzewski not as conventional brand ambassadors, but as passionate individuals facing the force of nature. Drawing on the language of film and documentary, we shaped their image as inspiring yet deeply human — making it easy for users to connect with them.
Third, the finale — the crowning moment of the story. The emotional climax of the journey was the presentation of the campaign’s central piece: the film itself. Because the context had been built gradually, watching the “Challenge” became a more conscious, more emotional experience.
Our Goal? A Story That Engages All the Senses
To create a sense of full immersion, we used a range of carefully designed solutions.
First and foremost: cinema in the browser. The website uses full-screen video, restrained and deliberate typography, and a minimalist interface that never distracts from the story, but instead guides users through it.
At the same time, we leaned into visual and sonic storytelling. The photography and graphic elements capture the monumental character of the Lapland landscape, while the carefully selected soundtrack intensifies the mood. As a result, users do not simply read the story — they feel the atmosphere of the entire expedition.
Finally, there is the narrative architecture. The website was built as a sequence of logical chapters, leading users from understanding the context, through meeting the protagonists, to the final emotional payoff: watching the film. In other words, it is a journey — not a collection of information.
The Result: An Experience, Not Just a Website
Thanks to this approach, the “Ice Challenge” landing page became much more than a campaign add-on. It intrigues and inspires. Like a good film, it awakens curiosity and imagination, engaging users on an emotional level.
It also captivates through its form. The carefully considered aesthetic, rooted in the very nature of the concept, reinforces the feeling that the audience is dealing with an extraordinary campaign. This strengthens the brand image and presents the car itself in a truly distinctive light.
The new Škoda Enyaq 4×4 is not merely a product in the background. It is an integral part of an epic story about precision, passion, and pushing boundaries. Set against the wild, frozen landscape, its presence gains remarkable credibility and power.
Summary
We did not create a landing page. We created a digital experience. A website that does not sell directly, but builds deep engagement and stays with the audience. One that perfectly complements the spectacular scale of the “Ice Challenge” campaign — and brings its magic into the online world.
