The next edition of Museum Night will take place on the night of 17–18 May 2025. It’s a cult-favourite event held once a year all over the world — including in Polish cities. At GoldenGrid, we had the pleasure of designing a brand-new event website commissioned by the City of Warsaw. Here’s how we did it!
Where did we start?
Our starting point was a thorough audit of the old website. Based on our findings, we identified the areas that could be optimised to make the site easier and more intuitive to navigate.
We also carried out market research and created a list of benchmarks to guide us throughout the redesign process. When looking for inspiration, we stayed as close as possible to the world of one-off, annual museum events. This helped us better understand user expectations — and how we could meet them.
The cherry on top was a workshop with the Client, which allowed us to explore their needs in detail. And then, we got to work!
GoldenGrid back in action
Our task was to design the entire website from scratch, following UX and UI best practices. And that’s exactly what we did.
We took a close look at the placement of navigation elements, the design, and various website features, including the “Favourite events” section. And, of course, we simplified the site structure to make it as user-friendly as possible.
We designed the entire website so that, with minimal changes, it can be adapted for future editions in line with each event’s visual identity.
